Hammond Report September 29 2020 from Pandemic Quarantino - Daily Music and Stories from the organist & accordionist Jon Hammond, today's story about a bossanova tune I wrote in Paris in 1981 "Lydia's Tune" after flying there aboard Concorde from JFK to CDG supersonic, the flight took 3 hrs & 26 minutes - we are playing it here at kickoff concert for Summer last year. This formation "Jon Hammond Funk Unit" with trombone, is the tenor saxophonist, congas and percussion, Louis "Flip" Winfield drums, and yours truly Jon Hammond at the organ - stay safe out there folks, keep masking up in this pandemic! I'll be tuned in for the big debate this evening, c u tomorrow, Jon Hammond -
